Meditation Facilitation by Deena Smith

 

Over the many years of being a seeker, student and lifelong learner I have always used meditation as a means of discovery, healing and understanding of who I am.  It has enabled me to see myself and the world more clearly with a level of acceptance that gets greater as I continue my daily practice.  As a Meditation Facilitator, I work to bring the attendee into a more peaceful and present sense of self.  The many teachers of Meditation I have followed over the years has led me to leading from a place of togetherness verses teaching. I strive to create Sits that are healing for  the whole group as each group is as unique as the individual who attends.  I only help to co-create the safe space from which to hold a meditation sit. Facilitating in this way empowers each of us to open to the greater good of all and we each can bring our gifts to share in the common collective.  Drawing from Native American, Celtic and Yogic traditions anchored firmly in Mindfulness and Insight meditation practices, I welcome you to join in the next upcoming Sit.

Meditation Sit

Every Other Monday

The practice of Meditation was first echoed on ancient walls in the 4th and 5th centuries, giving us centuries of revelatory transformations and soulful enlightenment.  What did they know? And how did they get there?  Research is pouring in on the benefits of Meditation and the power of human connection.  We are just now beginning to catch up and break through the barriers of our higher consciousness. Our Meditation Sit will be filled with a sense this of wonder and ancient wisdom set in the

safety of an intimate and healing space.

 ​

Every other Monday, I will lead a Meditation Sit to weave the combined energies of each attendee's journey inward peacefully, with a sense of ease and grace. Whether a beginner or a avid practitioner, here's what you can expect:

❖  A mindful melding of both group and individual energies for a restorative 1 hour sit

❖  Become aware of your inner compass and powers of observation through time honed skills of and   mindfulness  and focused breathing.

❖ How to focus on one’s own nervous system for regulation and grounded resilience.

❖  Learn to set meaningful intentions.
